GBDS, Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Scott was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and raised in Allentown, PA where he has resided for most of his life. He attended William Allen High School and graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. Scott has studied at the Bethlehem Business School, University of Delaware, Emory University and Sonoma State University. One of his degrees is from the GMU / Northwood Institute in Flint, Michigan.
For over thirty years, Scott was employed by Jack Jones Buick in Bethlehem, PA where he acted as Partner / General Manager beginning in 1981 and then as Dealer and President from 1994 - 2006. In early 2007, Scott joined Warner Benefits as its Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Scott earned his Group Benefits Disability Specialist GBDS designation in 2009. He also holds a Pennsylvania and New Jersey Resident Producer license for Accident and Health, Life, Disability and Fixed Annuities.
Active in his community, Scott serves as the chairman of the "Donley Awards for Excellence" honoring the top 30 high school seniors in the Lehigh Valley. He serves as a Big Brother for the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley. He is a member of Free and Accepted Masons 32nd Degree Lodge #561, the Rajah Shriners and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasonry.
Scott is also a 38 year member of the National Ski Patrol System, serving at Blue Mountain. He is certified as a Senior NSP Patroller and has earned NSP National #9312 honors. He was the Eastern PA NSP Regional Treasurer for nine years. He is certified as a First Responder, certified in Outdoor Emergency Care, certified as an Alpine Toboggan Instructor, certified in Avalanche and Mountaineering, certified BLS CPR/AED Instructor and is certified in the PA Emergency System.
He is a member of Saucon Valley Country Club, serving on its Executive Board and its Board of Governors for four terms. He has been Membership Chairman for almost a decade and is the Men’s Bowling League Chairman. Scott is a Health & Safety Committee member plus a past Golf and Recreation committee Chairman.
Scott is a member of the Mercantile, Coplay Saegerbund, the Route 100 Shooting Clays, the United States Bowling Congress and the Bethlehem Club. Scott resides with his wife, Joanne and they are the parents of three grown children, Heather, Michelle and Ryan. He has two grandchildren. Scott and Joanne are avid football, hockey, and baseball fans.
